My journey with Customer First Digital began a year ago, in June 2023. It's hard to believe that twelve months have already passed. Over the past year, I've gained an incredible understanding of affiliate and partnership marketing. I've learned and achieved far more than I could have ever imagined before joining Customer First Digital and during my time at college. It's been an incredible year, and I can’t wait to learn more. 

What work I have done 

This year I created a range of product sheets for our new services, where I utilised my design skills which I had learnt from college to create 6 brand new leaflets. I also produced my first web page; the Brand Partnership page on our site. On the subject of brand partnerships, I have also carried out research for appropriate brands for our partners to collaborate with. These partnerships include seasonal strategies and targeted marketing. 

What I have learned in my first year ... 

Over the past 12 months, I have done so many varied roles from design work and videography to SEO and client reports. I am now 9 months into my content creator course at Hull College and have so far really enjoyed it. I have learnt how to create technical animations for company videos, how to design logos and then do this for real life local clients. In addition, I have also learnt the best practices for writing press releases. Currently, we are designing greetings cards at college, to publish on Thortful, under our own brand for people to buy. 

My proudest moment so far ... 

My first proud moment was creating my first lunch and learn PowerPoint and presenting it in front of the CFD team. I also devised and strategized a marketing plan for the remainder of 2024. But, by far my proudest moment has to be watching Customer First Digital win ‘Agency of the Year’ at the Rakuten Advertising Golden Link Awards. This was such an amazing achievement for the company, so it is definitely my proudest moment. 

Outside of work ... 

Out of the office, we have participated in plenty of exciting activities including escaping Operation Hideout’s Jewel Pursuit escape room for Customer First Digital’s fourth birthday, which was followed with a lovely meal at Lucia’s Italian Restaurant. We also had our Sponsored match night with Hull Jets, where our partners Face the Future came to watch from the Sponsorship Box. 

Moving into the remainder of 2024 ... 

Now I have reached a year at CFD and developed many new skills in the digital world from affiliate marketing to everyday tasks such as, data analysis, industry research and implementing best practices, I’m looking forward to taking on more responsibilities such as starting my college project, taking on my own client and attending my first event.
